RagApple Lassie will be open every day INCLUDING JULY 3RD & 4TH, so include a visit to sample our awesome wines in your holiday plans!  The Claire Culbreath Duo featuring Claire Culbreath on vocals/keyboard and John Brandon on guitar will entertain all day Saturday afternoon, Noon to Six, with 70’s pop, jazz standards, and a sprinkling of original music.

FYI:  RagApple Lassie and Windsor Jewelers of Winston-Salem are hosting a benefit for UYV Habitat for Humanity on Sunday, July 18th.  Watch for details on how you can help build a house with the stoke of your pen, and at the same time win a piece of fine jewelry,  a case of wine, a weekend getaway, or other enticements!

And don’t forget, if you have not yet come for one of the Mini-Festivals sponsored by the Yadkin River Wine Trail, consider going to Cellar 4201 on July 18th where you can taste the wines of all five wineries on the trail for $10.00, enjoy great music and sample wonderful food!  Details at http://www.yadkinriverwinetrail.com

And lastly, our grandson, Tanner, the home run king, is in Omaha, Nebraska, all this week playing in a national baseball tournament.  Send him a good vibe or two!  He is so excited and so are his grandparents!!!!!

Welcome to SUMMER!  Last winter when it was so cold, I mistakenly said, “I will never complain about the heat again!”

After this past week, and the forecast for this coming week, I have declared that I can put on enough clothes to stay warm so I am choosing cold vs hot!!!!

But don’t despair – in the words of our grandson, Jack, RagApple Lassie is cool! And this coming Saturday, June 26th, heralds the release of the Kaleidoscope Red.

Come sample this glorious blend, enjoy our live music all afternoon, check out our wine bottle edging built by Megan, Lenna’s great little helper bee!!

Rainbows and joy,
Lenna and Frank

frank hobson ragapple lassieFirst things first.  When sending you the e-mail last week about the need for your help – and we still need it very much, – I transposed the numbers of the H.R. Bill.  THE CORRECT NUMBER IS H.R. 5034 – aka  the CARE (Comprehensive Alcohol Regulatory Effectiveness) Bill. And please, don’t forget to follow-up with your congressman if you agree with us.

And now to this week.  Bottling is finished – thank heavens – and everyone survived!!  And the good thing is that the missing Merlot and Kaleidoscope Red will be returning to the RagApple Lassie wine line-up just as soon as our Goddess of Wine, aka our winemaker, declares it worthy of your discriminating palate!

In the meantime, join us in the tasting room daily, noon to six to taste great wine, relax on the patio, see and be seen, or just contemplate the ending of spring and the beginning of summer.  Live music on Saturday, June 5, Noon to Six, by Keary Reid on the keyboard, playing all of your favorites.

FYI, the second of the summer series of Wine Festivals hosted by the Yadkin River Wine Trail will be Sunday, June 20th at Divine Llama Vineyards.  Details at yadkinriverwinetrail.com.

Rainbows and joy,
Lenna and Frank
