Great photo shared by Danny Carter!

This Christmas, Frank and I were given the greatest gift we have EVER received!  And that was being able to spend two whole days at home doing nothing but enjoying the most beautiful snow we have ever seen!  Snow began falling on Christmas morn and continued through the next morning!   Every eyeful was just glorious, even more beautiful than a postcard, and the God given gift of not having to rush off someplace else was magnificent!

And, we truly hope that each of you experienced a joyous Christmas also.

To say thank you to all our friends as this year ends and a new one begins, we cordially

invite you to visit this weekend (we will be open our regular hours – noon to six) including New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day and take advantage of some special ‘specials,’ we have planned including the goodbye SALE for the last thirteen cases of our 2008 Zinfandel.  Since there are just thirteen cases, you can buy a case for just $131.31 or by the bottle for $13.13!   Plus, some other surprises are planned – just for you this weekend and throughout the winter months.  Stay tuned for updates!

Please note: The Back Door Café will be open from now through March by reservation only.  If you would like lunch any weekend, just give us a call and it will be ready for you.  Beginning April 1st, a new and expanded menu will be available on a regular walk-in basis!

As the old year ends and a new year begins, our thoughts turn gratefully to family and friends who have championed RagApple Lassie and without whose support our progress would not be possible.

Please know how much we appreciate each of you and our prayer is that 2011 will bring glorious rainbows, peaceful days, much love and great joy!

Lenna and Frank

P.S.  RagApple Lassie will close at 3:00 pm on Christmas Eve, will be closed on Christmas Day, and will resume our normal ‘daily’ noon to six schedule beginning on December 26th.   Stay tuned as many surprises are planned for this winter and please remember ‘open’ means seven days a week, including New Year’s Day.

So much for the specific science of weather forecasting! The weatherman said, “Just a few flurries might be mixed in with the rain expected for late in the day on Saturday!”  What we got was a winter wonderland snow – sticking to every limb and twig – beginning at 11:00 a.m. and continuing until well after dark Saturday night!!!! So once again, Mother Nature reminded us who is in control!

Gift yourself with an afternoon of joy and carols made all the more special with the great RagApple Lassie wines. Lisa Woods, a seasoned entertainer with the clear sweet voice of an angel, will fill your heart with songs of the season as you relax and enjoy the day.

And, if you still have a few gifts to buy, we have just the thing! Frank’s favorite candy, Peanut Brittle made with RagApple Lassie Chardonnay, new tote bags with our signature embroidered logo, new handcrafted bottle toppers, AND our new signature logo pewter Christmas ornaments make great gifts and or stocking stuffers!!  (And wine club members, don’t forget the special opportunities for stocking your cellar.)

Plus, the Yadkin River Wineries Holiday Wine Tour is in full swing.  Come, join the fun of tasting five wines at five wineries, receiving a free ornament at each winery to place on the handmade grapevine wreath received when you purchase your ticket. Tickets will be good through December 31st and make great Christmas presents! Check the website: http://www.yadkinriverwinetrail.com for more details.

Joyful holidays and our best to you,
Lenna and Frank
