ragapple lassie vineyardsFirst and foremost, Happy Thanksgiving, and please know that we are most thankful for the support and kindness of each of you.  Without you, RagApple Lassie would still be just a ‘gleam’ in our eyes!

The holidays are coming – ready or not – so, we invite you to visit RagApple Lassie, sample our wines (our Chardonnay goes wonderfully with turkey), choose bottles of your favorites for holiday gatherings, gifts for friends and family, and this Saturday, enjoy “Patsy Cline,” aka Darlene Caudle, as her awesome voice works its magic on your mind.  Noon to Six.  Plus, lunches from Honeybaked Ham will be available in The Back Door Cafe!

To those of you who missed the WS Prime Wine Dinner at the Winston-Salem Marriott missed one of the best dinners that Lenna and Frank have ever eaten – worldwide!!!  So much for the idea that hotels only cook hotel food!  The menu was superbly created by Chef Christian, perfectly prepared, magnificently presented, and beautifully paired with five of our wines!  But don’t despair; you will have one more chance in early spring!  Stay tuned for details!

And, remember that the annual ‘Holiday Wine Tour” sponsored by the wineries of the Yadkin River Wine Trail: RagApple Lassie, Cellar 4201, Divine Llama, Flint Hill Vineyards and Sanders Ridge has begun and will continue through December 31st.  Tickets can be purchased at any of the wineries and cover one handmade grapevine wreath from one of the vineyards, five wine tastings at each winery, and one limited edition Christmas ornament from each winery. Tickets are $50.00 each or $65.00 for two people to enjoy wine tasting at each winery.

We will look forward to seeing you soon!

This past weekend, the first Saturday of the month long Titilatte Contest, was great fun and the results were pretty amazing!

If you don’t know what I am talking about, go to www.ragapplelassie.com and click on events.  Three winners: Elizabeth Valier, Wes Rabb, and Patricia Valier were chosen by judges using the official wine judging protocol as led by Linda King, the Winemaker at RagApple Lassie, who just happens to be a Certified International Wine Judge herself.

That’s why she is invited to California and multiple other places all over the US to judge professional competitions each year.

But suffice to say, don’t miss the fun.  Plan your own trip to RagApple Lassie at least once in January to try your hand at mixing a Titilatte!!!  One of last weekends’ competitiors left with the promise he would be back next week!!

And in addition to the fun of mixing Titilattes, savor the awesome wines of RagApple Lassie while listening to the awesome voice of the Triad’s own, Lisa Woods, singing from pop to jazz, classic standards to Motown and oldies to country AND warm your innards with a sample of Debbie Hoover’s awesome homemade soups.  ALL FREE – NOON TO SIX!

FYI:  During January, bring your old Christmas cards for donation to the St. Jude’s Children’s Ranch and receive ONE basic wine tasting FREE.  Wine Club Members will receive ONE glass of wine FREE!!
